Altria Supplier Diversity

In 2009, the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (VMSDC) awarded Altria Group the Corporation of the Year Award.

Altria has not only benefited from their work with diverse suppliers, but has returned the favor in providing opportunities for small minority-owned businesses that may not have had the chance otherwise. Altria has sponsored Buckingham Greenery's CEO, Connie Hom, in several Diverse Supplier Executive Education programs. Through these educational opportunities, Hom was able to utilize the information and completely revamp her Supply Team Management to make Buckingham Greenery a much more cost-effective company.

• Altria was named the 2009 Corporation of the year by the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council – the fourth consecutive year an Altria company has been so honored.

Franklin Federal Holiday Testimonial

As usual, everything is beautiful again this year. We think so highly of the quality of work that Buckingham Greenery does. Every year we say we think that particular year is our favorite. The [Christmas] decorations exceed our expectations, which is hard to do because throughout the years you all have set a very high standard for yourselves to top! The installers were neat, professional and moved throughout the building quickly and did what they needed to do. At this point, we couldn't think of having anyone else do our decorations as we are so pleased. I would rate you all a 9 – only because if we gave you a 10 there wouldn't be any leeway for improvement (but the margin for improvement is very small).
