First Impressions, University of Virginia Medical Center

"My department is called First Impressions here at UVA Medical Center; I am the person that purchases plants though out the Medical Center. We want to provide live, beautiful plants to clean and refresh the environment here for our patients and visitors. Since I make sure that the plant are everywhere through out the Medical Center, I would love to have my office make a first impression with this nice new plant."

"Our company and our employees are into recycling and doing what is best for the environment. Our committment is to be 98% recyclable. We are a lab facility and operate in a fairly closed environment. Because of the nature of what we do, our employees are inside for the majority of their work day. We have decorated with plants throughout the building to maintain a pleasant environment so they may enjoy coming to work. Winning this plant will couple both of these initiatives for us."

"All of our plants are floor plants, most of them you look down at. I would like to spruce up my area, possibly my desk or credenza with a plant. Something more in line with the eyes. This would also be easily seen by the clients in the waiting area."
