A business consultant recently said:
Mitigating risks is one of the top three reasons that companies do business with contractors and suppliers”.

Your Certified  Interior Landscape Contractor can mitigate risk for your company in several  ways.

Dealing with a Certified  Interior Landscape Contractor means dealing with a company that holds a:

  1. current contractor's business license (in other words is certified by the State as a qualified contractor)
  2. Pesticide Certification
  3. PLANET National Professional Certification

1. Dealing with a company with a current business license means that you are dealing with a contractor that has been certified by the State to do business in the State and thus is a qualified business, and has liability insurance and thus reduces your liability risk when performing services in your building.

Buckingham Greenery is a Certified Contractor and has a current license

2. Doing business with a company that has a Pesticide Certification means working with a company that can spray pesticides in any commercial space because it has undergone the Virginia Department of Agriculture certification program to obtain:

  • a Commercial Pesticide License (annually renewed),
  • a Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (renewed every two years), and
  • a Registered Technician Pesticide Applicator Certification (also renewed every two years)

You are dealing with a contractor that is certified to use pesticides and is knowledgable on how to mix and use the correct amounts of commercially accepted chemicals; is aware of the safety measures to adopt in case of spillage or runoffs; is trained to be aware of the surrounding where it is using pesticides and the effects these chemicals and their smells can have on people; and is trained to consider non chemical application alternatives.

  • Dot Earnest - Commercial Pesticide Applicator

Buckingham Greenery has up-to-date Pesticide business license and (2) Commercial Applicator License as well as the Registered Technician Applicator Licenses for Managers and technicians with minimum of one year service

3. Working with a company that holds a PLANET National Professional Certification means working with a company that is a member of the national trade association for the green industry and has undergone vigorous testing to obtain:

  • the initial certification of the Landscape Industry Certified Manager and
  • the Landscape Industry Certified Technician – Interior.

This certification is renewable every two years provided that 24 qualified continuing education points are obtained during this time frame.

If you are dealing with a PLANET certified company you know you are dealing with a professional interior  landscape company  that is partnering  with your company; a company that is up-to-date in landscaping trends and issues; and is a company that is aware of the national issues that may affect water usage as well as indoor air quality in buildings.

Buckingham Greenery has several national certified managers
